MMCA has established itself as the hub dedicated to supporting minorities in the construction industry. Established in 1988, the organization is based in Charlotte, NC. It facilitates the growth of black and minority-owned construction businesses by offering resources such as mentorships, capital funding, marketing/legal services, workshops/networking events, and more. Additionally, its online platform and initiatives assist entrepreneurs with navigating business ownership while connecting them with like-minded individuals locally.

MMCA works to provide resources for minority and women owned businesses in an equitable manner. We do this by linking them with partners, sponsors, and funders. MMCA also teams up with minority advocates and organizations to support economic equality for minority-owned construction businesses. By providing training, education and exposure, the visibility of these companies is boosted. This has been beneficial for many local minority-run firms and is beneficial overall for the state.
